Editing Update 5

I have decided to add in a variety of different transitions as opposed to just using fades. This means the look of the documentary will be more interesting and I have also shown that I can be creative even when moving from one shot to the next.

Audience Profile

The target audience for this documentary would be anybody involved in the adoption process:
- Adults who have adopted
- Adults thinking of adopting
- Adoptees.

Here is a group of people who could represent my target audience:

The age rating would probably be 12A or PG if released in public cinema. There will not be any "Adult Language" or "Violence". But the age rating may be due to perhaps the complexity and emotions of the content.

Editing Update 4

I tried to take make a vox pop out of this logo:
_____________________________________________________

I then just took the words:

_____________________________________________________

and put them into my production:

_____________________________________________________

However, this just seemed to make it look sinister which is definitely NOT what my intention was.
Therefore, I either need to:
-Change the colours to make them lighter
or
- Completely take out the logo and do something else

Research Difficulty

Due to the fact that almost everything on the internet is influenced strongly on America, I found it difficult to find information such as facts or statistics from organisations with English families; therefore my research ended up being prominently based on my own experience and also from some friends'.
This is not too much of a problem because I feel that I have enough knowledge on this particular topic as it is very personal to me, I also know and am part of adoption organisations such as CACH whereby I can gain contact with other families.

Extra research

I have been watching a few general documentaries in my own leisure time and I have noticed that most of them involve footage of the participants while they are travelling. They show them talking to the camera whilst sitting in their car on the way to a specified and previously mentioned location that is significant to the particular documentary. Because I noticed this, I think I will do some filming in a similar way; in a car on the way to somewhere.

Here is an example:

Filming Photos

This is tof he traditional Chinese Lion Dance, I think it is important for me to involve a lot of the culture in my documenary as it is a main focus point, and I think my target audience members will find this type of footage intersting!

I had a lot of fun with the filming on the day, with the older girls. We had a lot of laughs and I am planning on putting a lot of the footage in my production.

This final photo is of me (left) and Adele (right) she was in a lot of the filming, so I might not include all of it.

Interview

I have voice recorded an interview conversation that I had with my mum and dad individually which I will include in my production, however they was over 6 minutes long, so I think I will only include one of two of the questions that I asked them.
I am yet to add any other video footage as I need to film some more new things, such as a family sitting together or mother and child having fun together.

Editing Update 3

I have added super impositions after the main title, also I re-arranged a lot of the shots to make them work better with the music I had put them with.
